Returns & Refunds Policy

This Return & Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs the return of merchandise purchased from Middle East Bookstore (“Middle East Bookstore,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) through our physical retail locations and online store. By completing a purchase, the customer (“you”) agrees to the terms set forth herein.

1. Eligibility for Returns

1.1. Middle East Bookstore accepts returns within thirty (30) days from the date of purchase.
1.2. To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused, unopened, and in the same condition in which it was originally received.
1.3. A valid proof of purchase (including but not limited to a receipt or digital order confirmation) is required for all return requests.
1.4. Items that fail to meet the above requirements may, at our sole discretion, be deemed ineligible for return.

2. Non-Returnable Merchandise

2.1. The following categories of products are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable:

Items sold as sale, discounted, or clearance merchandise
Used books
Rare, antique, or collectible books

2.2. Middle East Bookstore reserves the right to determine whether an item falls within any of the above categories.

3. Return Procedure for Online Purchases

3.1. Customers returning merchandise purchased online are responsible for all return shipping costs, including packaging and transportation fees.
3.2. The return package must be shipped to the return address provided by Middle East Bookstore upon request.
3.3. Upon receipt of the returned item, Middle East Bookstore will conduct a full inspection to verify eligibility under this Policy.
3.4. The customer will be notified whether the return request has been accepted or rejected following the inspection.
3.5. If the return is approved, Middle East Bookstore will issue a refund to the original payment method within seven (7) business days, subject to standard bank or payment-processor timelines.
3.6. If the return is rejected, the item may be returned to the customer upon request, with all associated shipping costs borne by the customer.

4. In-Store Returns

4.1. Items purchased in-store may be returned to any Middle East Bookstore retail location, provided that all eligibility requirements outlined in Section 1 are met.
4.2. In-store returns will be processed in accordance with this Policy.

5. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

5.1. Customers who receive damaged, defective, or incorrect merchandise must notify Middle East Bookstore within seven (7) days of delivery.
5.2. Middle East Bookstore may require photographic or video evidence of the issue prior to authorizing a return or replacement.
5.3. Items determined to be damaged or defective due to misuse, negligence, or improper handling by the customer are not eligible for refund or replacement.

6. Refund Method

6.1. All approved refunds will be processed as full refunds to the original method of payment.
6.2. Middle East Bookstore is not responsible for delays caused by banks, credit card issuers, or third-party payment processors.

7. Amendments

7.1. Middle East Bookstore reserves the right to amend, modify, or update this Policy at any time, with or without prior notice.
7.2. Any changes will become effective upon publication on our website or at our store locations.
